FUN FRIDAY

Today was our second day in Room 2.  We are working and playing really well together!

GUESS THE NAME OF OUR PLAY!

Can you guess which traditional play we performed for the Junior Syndicate this week? 
It was 'The Ugly Duckling'.  We had a lot of fun!

GOING TO GUY FAWKES

I went to Guy Fawkes. The fireworks were the best part. And I went on the bouncy castle.

THE CROSS COUNTRY  

I went to the CrossCountry and I came first! I felt like a million dollars.

I got a fizzy and I got a doughnut.
My day was cool. I felt happy and proud of myself.  By Tom

JADE'S BIRTHDAY

I was in my house and then I went into the car and we went to the swimming pools and it was fun.

I went to Jade’s birthday and we had some cake. It was yum!

TOM'S BIRTHDAY                               Guess what Ryan, Preston, Katelyn, Loyd, Blair, Andrew and I did? We went on the mud slide. Simon came in with the slide and we went down the house slide and onto the mud slide. I went into the muddy water. I went under the water! I got wet when we were waiting for the hose to come on.

Preston went to the muddy water at the bottom of the mud slide and he tripped over on a stone into the muddy water. It was funny as! And all of us went into the hot tub. We all went under the water.
We popped the balloon. Tom, who was six, said that we could pop the balloon on the prickles. And guess what? When we popped the balloons some lollies came out of the balloons. It was fun.
I wish I could go there again because it was the best birthday ever!     By Caidan

AT THE BEACH
In the holidays my cousins came to my house. They live in Auckland and their names are Emily and Aidan.

We went to the beach. We went into the water. It has big waves. I felt excited.   By Anthony

NEE'S  PUPPIES

I went to my Aunty’s and she is awesome and she had two cute puppies.

They are a bit little and a bit big.

There is a dad and I don’t know where the mum is.

THE CROSS COUNTRY
I was happy coming eighth. It was fun on the race. I was excited because I came eighth.

THE PLAY The night before my birthday my Dad and I went to the Community Centre because there was a play there.
There were only two people from Tomarata School in it. They were Nicky and Rafe. Nicky and Rafe were married birds. I liked it. By Andrew

Space Day!

We went in a space ship to space.  I was the security guard with Taylor and Charlotte.  We ate some space food.  It was yum.  By Astronaut Jade

On Friday we turned our classroom into a space shuttle and zoomed into space!  
Out in space, the mechanics fixed the Hubble Telescope and our cooks gave us special space food in a bag.  

When it was time to come back to Earth, we got lost and nearly ended up on Mars! But, thanks to Astronaut Anthony, the navigator, we made it back to school in time for lunch. By Commander Murphy

WHEN ROOM 2 WENT TO THE OLYMPICS...

I was in the Olympics.  My country was New Zealand.  I was doing archery.  I got the medal.  I was really happy to get in the Olympics.  I got a silver medal.  I almost got a gold medal but I came second in archery.  It was awesome to be in the Olympic games.  Now it is time for the closing ceremony.  I hope I get in the Olympics next year.  By Caidan

I went weight lifting at the weightlifting place.  I went good.  I got gold.  I felt excited.  By Logan

My sport is air rifles.  I won a gold medal.  I chose the air rifles.  It was hard but I have been practising looking through the telescope.  By Andrew

Hello there.  Guess what?  I am in the gymnastic girls’ competition and I won first place and I won gold.  And it is great.  Look at the crowd and it is good.  I like doing gymnastics.  I like being in the Olympics.  By Jade

The 100th Day of School

When I got to school it was the hundredth day of school. I said, “Yay!” We made a poster from 100 squares and then we made some glasses shaped like 100.  Then we made a centipede.  My day was great. I was really jumpy.  By Kaea

We were quiet and busy.
